BoF Episode 23: The Guardian of the Key

At this point in the game, this Wisp is pretty tough. It has an attack that hits all members of your party, it can use Fire spells (I think), and it can charge at you. I keep using T. Bolt to take off 80 points each time it is used. Just keep your party healed and eventually you will prevail. This is the first boss that doesn't have a Guts rejuvenation thing, so that is good as well.

Guardian Wisp - The Protector

My first video about new DotA hero Io, Guardian Wisp. The first part of the video is owned by Blizzard. Music isnt mine also. Since I played a lot with this hero these days, I will give you some instructions also because this hero is still unknown to many DotA players. However, notice that the video was made only a few days after 6.68 was published. 1) Doesnt matter Wisp's primary ability is strength, his stats (and hp) are very low and he cannot be used as a tank. I mean, of course he can if you go hood+heart or hood+2x vanguard, but every hero with that items is a tank. 2) NO, this hero is NOT a ganker. His damage is incredibly low and is followed by low attack speed. He definitely shouldnt be used in 1v1 or 1v2. However, good wisp player does always huge job in 2v1,2v2 and battles counting more heroes. 3) Items: As much as Ive seen, the best items for Guardian Wisp are: early game: stout shield, ring of regen/ gauntlets, ring of regen, tangos mid game: vanguard, hood, arcane boots, mekansm late game: bloodstone, heart, assault (You can hardly have all these items even with selling some, but this is just a suggestion and instruction.) 4) Strategy: Notice that in most battles I dont autoattack at all. This hero is PURE SUPPORT, mega protector and assistant. The best strategy is to use tether to connect to your ally, and just run around and make stuns because your damage with wisp is very low to kill. Actually, it is impossible to kill a +15 lvl hero with your autoattack ...

Guardian Wisp pwnage - DotA Tutorial

Io, The Guardian Wisp is a new strength ranged hero added in DotA Allstars 6.68 by IceFrog. Io, The Guardian Wisp is one of the most popular models found in Warcraft 3 and now added to it's infamous custom map DotA Allstars v6.68. Spells: 1. Tether- Io tethers himself to an allied unit, granting both units bonus movement speed. Any enemy units that contact the tether will be stunned. 2. Spirits- Io summons 5 ancient Spirits over the course of 6 seconds; the Spirits dance around Io in a circle to protect him. If an enemy hero moves close enough to touch a Spirit, the Spirit releases its life energy in a burst, damaging and slowing all enemies in a 300 area of effect. 3. Overcharge - Io draws on more energy than he can safely handle, granting him bonus attack speed, but draining 2.5% of his current HP and Mana per second. If Io is tethered to an ally the bonus attack speed is also granted to that ally. 4 (Ultimate). Relocate - Io temporarily relocates himself, along with any tethered hero, to the target location for 12 seconds.

Note: Flying Swords tend to cast Lighting Bolt after it uses Defense or being Windmilled. Beware: Sometimes they will grow &/or level if you hit them with Icebolt or Lighting bolt. Wisp (X4): Hp: ? Dmg: ? Def: ? Protection: ? Exp: 600 Gold Dropped: 600-1000 Hits: 1 Speed: Fast Aggro: Single Detection Range: ? Detection Speed: ? Element: Lighting Skills: Smash, Defense, Counter Attack, Lighting Bolt Weakness: ? Note: Wisps have language. ! = Regular Attack. !! = Defense. !!! = Lighting Bolt. !!!! = Smash. !!!! = Counter Attack (when not moving). Mabi-Wiki lied about the 5 ! thing. They can only make 4 instead of 5. My Research on Wisp: Wisps have extremley high defense. If you are using Lighting Armor (like me), it will have no affect on the wisp. As you can see in the video, it smashed me and it did 47 dmg without criticalling. All my equipments are Lighting Enchanted, it should have negated that effect and do about 24. Note: This Dungeon can only be accessed if today is Samhain (Saturday) or if you are doing G1. Note that you have to be level 25 (current. Total does not count) if warp through the portal ...
